With a shortened week
ahead of them, our Grade Three Fiery Foxes undoubtedly took every opportunity
to tackle their tasks and activities with determination and enthusiasm.
As their
unit of inquiry expands, their journeys do too.
They wrote their thoughts and
questions about their rights and responsibilities on their next brick and built
it on to their Wonder Wall.
Before moving their own mini climbing figure to the brick they just made, they were to investigate the causation of
their previous question, from their very first brick.
- How different countries come to speak similar languages.
- The difference between Japan and China's cultural and systematic structures when maintaining good citizenship in their countries.
- Naturalization leading to globalization.
- The continuation of citizenship in our daily lives.
... and so on.
Making their teacher very proud. Their efforts to research, inquire and understand, resulted in their ability to discuss the answers to their own question's and relay their understandings with a friend.
Whilst practicing phonetical sounds and their pronunciation the Grade Three's learnt about imagery -visual & olfactory- they discovered how adding something, as simple as a scent, shade or size brings life and understanding to their words and written sentences.
Hmmm...where do I
begin?
HUNDREDS of exciting
ideas and creative instances scattering through their imaginations, however a few of our
foxes found themselves with 'writer's block', "But how do I make this
story, my OWN?".
.... and this was before we discussed how to map out the plot of a story😁😂.
Keeping track of
counting onwards and backwards from any given number. The Grade Three team
challenged themselves to a game. Do not break the chain, counting backwards in
tens from one thousand five hundred and thirty-two, until one thousand three
hundred and twenty-two.
I'm sure you are
wondering... how did they do?
