A Fatigued- Week Four

How perfect it would be to develop our thinking skills with a topical debate.
Is it more difficult to live with a broken arm or a broken leg?

The Fiery Foxes picked a folded piece of paper out of a bowl and inside the paper revealed their broken limb that they were to argue is more difficult to live with. They had individual thinking time, then brought their thoughts together as a group.

The debate began and very soon they picked up on how to win in an argument, implementing questions and counterarguments the Foxes got into the swing of things and fought hard for their points, eventually ending with a draw. Good job!
We looked at the muscular system during unit time and learnt about the different muscle cells that can be found in the human body. The Grade 3s even made their own hand model to show how our muscles and tendons help move the fingers in our hand.

We continued with Measurement in Mathematics, using and practicing conversion methods for mass and also for length.

The week ended off with a fun-filled cross-country competition. The Upper Primary participated in an individual long-distance race and finished with a friendly sprint relay race. Our Grade 3s ran their hearts out and gave it their all, I am so proud of their efforts  and achievements. Something that was very special to watch was the encouragement and support the Grade Threes gave to each other and this was shared not only with their peers but the rest of their friends in Grade 4, 5 and 6. I watched some of our children go back onto the track after their race to guide the rest of the runners and cheer them on to the finish line. They truly are beautiful and caring children.

WELL DONE, CHAMPIONS!
A very big thank you to our helping parents and spectators who came through to make the day a great success! A special thank you to you, who was unable to join in with the races but wanted to assist with the cheering, guidance, and clean-up, you are a star!

Have a wonderful week!
