"Say, Faeces!"- Week Six

Team Power!
The Fiery Foxes were beyond excited to ask their parents to join them in class, so they could show off their work and the projects they've been busy with for the past six weeks.

Little did they know, their parents were going to join in and help them with the last fun experiment...or should I say, last fun and MESSY experiment of the unit.😆
Bringing the Human Body and its systems to an end, there is no better way to conclude the unit other than to recreate the digestive system and how our bodies digest food...say, Faeces!!

SOLID, LIQUID AND GAS
We dove into Science...not literally...but, we did look at different states of water.
We explored the particles in water and how they move or react when under certain conditions.
Very happy with their experiment, the Grade Threes were able to draw conclusions about water and what would happen if ice, water or gas had to undergo certain conditions or temperature change.

Taking ACTION!
The Grade Threes have a lot of knowledge about the human body and used their thinking skills to find ways on how they could transfer this knowledge to influence their neighbouring community for the best. Some made posters, some created flyers and some went online.

He is one of our students displaying his poster at his dad's place of work. The liver, which is part of the digestive systems and tips on how we can keep it healthy.

Another made a poster about asthma, which is to do with the respiratory system, and how to prevent asthma attacks. He created awareness by emailing a digital copy to various recipients, myself included.

Here is a poster to motivate the neighbours and the rest of the residents in the building to exercise their muscular system , with this she challenged them to do Yoga for 20 minutes each day and explained the health benefits they would reap from it.

Finally, our Christmas tree decorations for the DSKI Christmas tree lighting on Monday.
Have an AWESOME week!
