Teleported back in time, life was vastly different compared to what the Foxes know of today.
They created a timeline to understand exactly how far back in time this past civilization will take them.
A lot of the upcoming investigations that The Fiery Foxes will undergo is connected to how the Ancient Egyptians classified themselves within a hierarchical system, so we took a look at the social structure and typical jobs that were associated with each category and built our very own pyramid for a better visual representation.
The Grade 3s transformed themselves into little Pharaohs by imagining and designing what they would wear if they really were one. They researched what their clothing was made of and even found their clothes maker, the Pastoral nomads, amongst the craftsmen. Whilst they were busy with their designs they listened to Ancient Egyptian music that would have been specifically played for the Pharaoh thousands of years ago.

FLY ME TO THE MOON- Frank Sinatra
For science week in April the whole school will be missioning to the moon, not literally but theoretically at least. We will be exploring how we could build a school on the moon.
This idea was proposed to the Grade 3s with their central mission to be looking at the different resources that they would need in order to make this possible.
The proposal was met with great excitement!
A professional physiotherapist, came to pay us a visit to teach us about the importance of posture, he helped us engage in a very fun, positive and enjoyable manner.
