Finding out- Week Five

Time to share
The Fiery Foxes were happy to share the interesting facts that they read over the weekend from their nonfiction library books. So excited that they continued to swap and pick out different bibliographies from the library when it was our library session.

We also honed in on the structure of story writing, one of the activities that we completed was based on following a story and then finishing it off. Below you will see the Grade 3s sharing their predictions on how they think the story, that was read to them, would have ended.

In between their research project, during unit time, the Foxes were getting their hands dirty by finding out what it took for the people back in Ancient Egyptian times to create any architectural structure.

They gathered their materials last week and this week they mixed them together and patiently waited for their mud bricks to dry out in the sun.

After 5 days of drying (baking), the Foxes could confidentially lift their mud bricks up to appreciate the results from their manual labour.
“It’s so heavy!”

The next question is...
Will they be able to build with them?

Hinamatsuri é››ç¥ã‚Š
During our research project, the Grade 3s were very excited to notice that Google changed their theme background to celebrate 'Girls Day' in Japan.
A Happy Hinamatsuri to all the girls!
