Sharing the planet- Week Two

 Welcome back!
Arriving back at school we noticed our scenery was a bit different to when we left a week ago. How fantastic it is to have a faint hint of sweetness in the air with more greenery around us and, to top it off, the blooming Sakura.
Off we went taking in our surroundings as we walked to the park for an outdoors PE session. The Grade Threes loved this mini adventure, especially because they had to take note of the
different road rules and traffic flow on the streets, this is something they will use and implement in PE at a later stage.

It was up to the Fiery Foxes to unjumble and then reassemble the words given to them in order to discover what the central idea for their new unit, `Sharing The Planet`, is.
After receiving the thumbs up they had to use their research skills to try and figure out what this central idea
means.

Groups of three...we had a renewable group, nonrenewable group and the judges group. Their task was to split natural resources into the correct renewable or nonrenewable category and the judges were to provide them feedback on whether they were correct or not and why.

In English the Fiery Foxes were super excited to report back on their holiday fun. They were even more excited when Miss S said that they were to do this holiday writing on the computer. Besides expressing and working on their writing skills, the Foxes were able to learn how to check the comments left online by their teacher and make the necessary corrections to their work.
Science week is almost around the corner and it is only fitting that we start on our
very big, very messy, project... papier-mâché for the win.

For Science week,
the UP parents are welcome to come and see what the school was learning and busy with on
Friday the 14th April between 10:45am - 12:15pm
Have a lovely weekend!
