Going Deeper- Week Three

Going Deeper
Our week started off a little bit different to what the Fiery Foxes are used to.
Much to the Foxes surprise, Monday was a bit of an odd day. The lessons were swapped around, which means the Grade 3s class schedule was in reverse. So, instead of starting our morning with English and Math, we began the day with PE instead and then finished the day off with Math and English.
There was method to this madness of course because the Grade 3s were then tasked with a comparative writing activity comparing their usual Mondays to this specific Monday.
This is a picture of our Foxes trying to navigate their 'vehicles' through a one-way maze.
Much to my amusement, we had a limousine amongst the cars and trucks...can you spot the limousine?

We also had two very special birthdays to celebrate, this called for us to drop everything we were doing and have a little class party.
A very Happy Birthday!

During Unit this week we began with the rock cycle, the Fiery Foxes were hands on when creating a visual masterpiece for their Unit Wall to help display the rock cycle.

This led the Foxes to explore our non-renewable resources and how coal, oil and natural gas are formed.
During Math we continued exploring Fractions.

Much to the Grade 3s delight we had a very special visitor who came back to pay his fellow cub friends a quick visit.
Thank you for popping in!

A very Happy Easter to all of you!

Thank you so much for our treat, Easter Team... Errr, I mean Easter bunny!
😀🐇😁

Next week is going to be another big week because we will be tackling STEM week head on.
Wish us luck as we prepare to take off to the moon!
