How We Express Ourselves- Unit 6
It is the final stretch of this school year as we move into our last unit- How we express ourselves.
The Grade Threes will be inquiring into...
`Dance is a universal art form that allows us to express ideas and feelings`.
A dancer is: an athlete, an artist, disciplined, creative, confident, actor, communicative...
We clapped and snapped to the beat, then practiced moving across open spaces with stage presence.
Understanding that team work and communication is an essential part of dance, we did some trust exercises and problem solving tasks.
We also watched some of Martha Graham`s most famous choreography which provoked different emotions out of the Grade Threes.

In Mathematics, we worked on story sums and also concluded our section on Fractions.

For English, we did a lot of creative writing activities but I think the one that stood out was the one about `what I think the year 2050 will be like for me...`.

Each child should have a maximum of ¥1,000 split into ¥100 coins, only!
Please seal this into an envelope for your child, which they must hand in to their teacher.
Children must bring their snack and lunch, as well as a hat, water and sunscreen.

Each child must wear their DSKI shirt with their running gear.
Parents are most welcome to participate in the run as well, dropping a coin into the jar for each lap they complete.
